THE EPIC BATTLES
3rd battle pitted Harlem’s K-Shine vs. Chicago’s Big T. K-Shine, another veteran of battle rap, is most known for his aggressive style, and lyrical delivery. Everytime he comes to battle, he leaves it all out there, so you leave with no doubt he gave his best. Big T, from Chicago, is one of the most talented MCs from the “Midwest Movement”, a cavalcade of MCs hailing from cities in the Midwest (Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis). This battle was basically aggression and gun bars versus……..aggression and gun bars. Both have similar styles, and only the crowd could really decide who was better this night.
VERDICT: BIG T 2-1 (Big T 1st, K-Shine 2nd, Big T 3rd)
Honestly, my prediction didn’t go as I had hoped. I had K-Shine winning 2-1, but it seemed like Big T wanted it more. I don’t know if it was the blogs that K-Shine put up before the battle, or if he just wanted to show NYC that the Midwest is still going strong, but he just seemed to be on another level. Shine performed and went for it in the first two rounds, but the slip-up in his 3rd, opened the door for Big T to take the win.
I come back to cross T like I'm writing in cursive – K-Shine.
Another nigga with a death wish sawed off shotty fuck around and eat a breadstick – K-Shine rd 1
Another 5 foot nigga with a death wish. Headshot will have his brains lookin like Chex Mix – Big T
Y'all put a Chicagorilla against a Harlem koala bear – Big T
